Special Thursday for UK WBB
Just like the men, the UK women have yet to have many tough games to start the season besides a road game against Indiana. Although, other than that game the women have taken care of business pretty handily and should have some confidence going into a tough stretch of games coming up. Not to mention, the game will be played in Rupp Arena to honor the former all-time great coach, Matthew Mitchell, which will add some hype and intensity around this match-up.

First order of business is a solid DePaul squad. The Lady Demons are 7-2 with losses to No. 9 Arizona and on the road against Texas A&M. They have scored north of 100 points in 3 games this season and are 4-0 when they score more than 59 points. This is a really good test for the Lady Cats because they have only allowed an average of 58.9 ppg and it will be nice to see how they handle a high-powered offense like DePaul presents. DePaul's offense is led by senior guard, Sonya Morris, who averages 17.5 points a game. DePaul seems to have multiple girls who can explode offensively so it will make it difficult for Coach Elzy to key in on one specific player.
Rhyne Howard does it all for this Kentucky squad and might be one of the most entertaining women's athletes to watch in all of WBB. She makes everyone around her better and is still able to get her own, averaging 20.6 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 4.9 apg, and 3.4 spg. This team will need a big game out of Howard of they want to keep this 4-game win streak alive.
Make sure to tune into SEC Network at 7:00 p.m. Est to catch these Lady Wildcats in action!
