Tucker Kattus Commits To Kentucky

We’ve finally got some football news! In the midst of all the mass chaos surrounding the men’s basketball program, I’m here to remind you that we do also have a football program that people really care about as well. And to reiterate on that topic, the UK Football program just received a commitment this afternoon.

On Wednesday around 11:30 AM, three-star offensive lineman Tucker Kattus announced that he would be committing to the University of Kentucky on the airwaves of KSR. He would follow up with a post on social media at noon confirming the news in writing.

"Big Blue Nation, I'm Home!" said the post. Nearly a year and a half later after receiving his offer, his recruitment is finally over and he will be packing his bags to come to Lexington.

The 2025 recruit currently plays for St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is rated the 33rd-best player from the state and the 68th-best at his position across the country. He chose the Wildcats over Arkansas, Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, among many other great schools.

He will be just the fifth commitment so far for the Wildcats in 2025, joining four-star Quintin Simmons Jr., four-star Isaiah West, three-star Stone Saunders, and three-star Brennen Ward.

Tucker is also the younger brother of current UK tight end, Josh Kattus, so he’s familiar with the style of the coaching staff, the type of attitude they expect to have within the program, and likely the blue-collar mentality that they need their linemen to have every single day. Josh Kattus has been great here, so I expect the family ties to run deep for Tucker’s time with the program.
