Two Kentucky Signees Have Been Selected As 2021 McDonald's Allem-Americans

Updated: Mar 11, 2021

For the second straight year, there will be no McDonald’s All-American men/womens basketball games played. Covid took out last years event and ultimately did this years too.

The MDAAG committee still selected 48 boys’ and girls’ players to receive invites to the All-star game, but of course, there won't be an actual game held this year.

Kentucky signees who were selected:

  1. Daimion Collins (Atlanta, Texas)

  2. Nolan Hickman (Seattle, Washington)

Daimion Collins is the No. 11 overall player in the class of 2021 (No.4 Power Forward), according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6'9 forward will immediately replace the production of Isaiah Jackson and Olivier Sarr after this season.

Nolan Hickman is the No. 31 overall player in the country (No.4 Point Guard), according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The four-star guard will play alongside Devin Askew next season, and a possible Davion Mintz (if he returns with his extra year of eligibility), and maybe even Skyy Clark (if he was to reclassify), which I don't think is very likely.

The two future Wildcats selected this year were John Calipari's 38th and 39th McDonald's All-American selections that have signed to play at Kentucky since he arrived, back in 2009.
