TyTy Washington, Sahvir Wheeler Both Could Miss Arkansas Game

Kentucky's starting backcourt could potentially miss their third straight game together this coming weekend. TyTy Washington and Sahvir Wheeler have not played one second in the last two games as the Cats hosted Alabama and LSU both inside Rupp Arena, and they will look to take on No. 18 Arkansas at Bud Walton Arena.

TyTy was ruled out against the Tigers to a "leg injury," and Sahvir to a "right upper extremity injury." Both remained on the day-to-day injury list.

While without two of the most important players on this team, surprisingly Kentucky has gotten the job done without them, winning by nine on Saturday and five on Wednesday night. Both teams came into the matchup with a combined record of 36-17 as in-conference opponents. To come out with quality wins against those teams the way that they did were such big hat-tips to the depth of this roster.

With that being said, it's a no-brainer that you want them back as soon as possible, despite the team still winning in their absence. When asked about the two (Washington and Wheeler) returning in the postgame press conference concluding the LSU win, John Calipari said, "If we get the other guys back, we'll see how that works. At what point they come back, they may not be ready in two days, we may have the same team going down to Arkansas." While saying that casually, you have to take note that he is still leaving the possibility of it actually happening. Although I don't believe they will both be out from things I'm hearing, you still have to continue preparing as if they are no-go's, just incase.

Kentucky tips-off in Fayetteville on Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 pm.
