UK Hires Offensive Line Coach

The search for a Kentucky offensive line coach has officially ended. UK announced today that San Francisco 49ers assistant offensive line coach, Zach Yenser, will be the UK Football offensive line coach moving forward.

This news comes after former UK O-line coach Eric Wolford left the program abruptly after an interview Alabama to become their offensive line coach. The NFL coaching carousel has definitely made an appearance in Lexington, as expected with monumental success. There are several questions around the BBN concerning offensive coordinator Liam Coen potentially leaving after one season, and interest amongst NFL teams.

Yenser was born in he started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Troy in 2007. Yenser worked for the late John Schlarman (O-line coach) and Neal Brown (OC). From 2015 to 2017, Yenser worked as a run game coordinator and O-line coach with Kansas. The next season was spent with SMU, where he was an offensive quality-control coach. Since, Zach Yenser has been with the San Francisco 49ers as an assistant offensive line coach.

This will be Zach Yenser's first job as an offensive line coach, but as an assistant O-Line coach, gained respect in one of the toughest offensive lines in the NFL. The BBN will be excited to continue John Schlarman's legacy and bring another Kentuckian.
