Updated: Jan 10

Davion Mintz has been in college a long time. Like, a really long time. This is his sixth season to be exact.

With time, comes stats to pile up. After four seasons at Creighton, and currently in his second at Kentucky, he has reached the 1,000 point scoring mark throughout his college career. He was awarded with this milestone during the LSU game on January 4th, in which he scored a game-high 16 points.

Mintz reached 1,000 career points in his 133rd career game that has spanned across five seasons (plus a redshirt season), totaling 97 games at Creighton and 37 at Kentucky. The graduate transfer has scored 396 points at Kentucky, and led the Wildcats in scoring in 2020-21. He became the first player in the John Calipari era at UK to return to Kentucky after leading the team in scoring.

Davion reflects on getting his recognition for it and finally reaching the milestone.
