Kentucky put on a show when fans were invited into Rupp Arena for their open practice on Tuesday evening. The event was also a telethon where fans could call in and donate money which would go towards the flood victims in eastern Kentucky. With no shock to anyone, the Big Blue Nation showed up, raising $2,410,000.00 at its conclusion for something that was put together less than 48 hours before... Pretty impressive.
Here are the full highlights from the open practice inside Rupp.
After the event was over, many players from this years team put out statements thanking the fans for showing up and donating through the phones.
By 11:00 Tuesday night, the Red Cross fund had reached the $2,800,000.00 mark. Wow.
