WBB: Kentucky Looks to Bounce Back Against SC Upstate

IT'S UGLY SWEATER DAY THIS GAME DAY!! Kentucky looks to bounce back this Sunday after a two-game losing streak they are currently on. Kentucky ran into a high-powered offense against DePaul and then the next game faced the No. 7 team in the country Louisville. Then Friday's game against Morgan State was cancelled due to COVID issues in Morgan States program.

With that said, the ladies haven't played a game since last Sunday and are eager to right the ship in the right direction. In the two losses to DePaul and Louisville, Kentucky shot a disgusting 4-27 from three combined and 0-14 against DePaul. I think the most impressive part was that they still scored 84 points without hitting a three and without Dre' Edwards. Then the next game against Louisville Rhyne Howard could just never get it going for herself. Shooting 3-13 and Louisville was doing a good job at forcing her into bad shots at the end of the shot clock and keeping her out of the paint.

SC Upstate isn't ant slouch coming into this game. They are 8-2 and currently ride a 5-game win streak and they smell blood in Kentucky's program. SC Upstate can take and make the three which will be a challenge for Kentucky keeping up with them in that aspect of the game. Although they haven't put up ungodly numbers this year and their offense seems to struggle some at times, I believe Kentucky will handle them pretty easily. This is the game Rhyne Howard gets back on track and the team starts to get confident hitting their shots consistently.

Make sure to tune in on SECN+ at 2:00 P.M. EST to cheer on the Cats and make sure to wear your ugliest sweater!
