It has been a week since Kentucky shocked the nation by winning their first SEC tournament in 40 years. After a week of much deserved rest, the Wildcats now turn their attention to the NCAA tournament. It took a long wait, but the Kentucky women’s basketball team now knows the path to begin their run to the final four.
Your Kentucky Wildcats were selected as the 6-seed in the Bridgeport Region. The ladies will take on 11-seeded Princeton in their first matchup of the big dance. The five seeds above Kentucky in the Bridgeport Region are NC State, UConn, Indiana, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame.
If this tournament run is anything like the one we witnessed in Nashville, then we’re in for a very big treat.
