Week 5 Depth Chart For Ole Miss

As Kentucky begins their week preparing for the Rebels, the games depth chart was released (as it is every Monday) and there are a few names who aren't in the two-man rotation.

Here's the depth chart for at Ole Miss as of this morning.

The biggest concern from the chart is that the Cats will be without J.J. Weaver this Saturday. The veteran linebacker suffered an arm injury against Youngstown State which initially looked pretty bad, but the staff said that it wasn't the case and that he would be back this season, but just on a week-to-week basis for the short term. Some even believed that he would be back this week after sitting out of the Northern Illinois game. We would have hoped that he would be back this week cause his presence will definitely be missed on the road against a conference opponent, but he needs to heal up completely before making his return which is very understandable and he just isn't there yet.

Also, the new depth chart has Kavosiey Smoke OR Chris Rodriguez listed as running back option number one, with JuTahn McClain being option number two. Now, we know Chris Rodriguez is the guy, but my guess is that they will ease him in for the first half or so before completely handing him the keys.

The depth chart also has no La'Vell Wright nor starting safety Ty Ajian on it.

You can listen to Mark Stoops address the week's game plan and questions asked by the media in his weekly press conference below.
