What You Need To Know For Fan Day 2023
Updated: Aug 24
As we count down the days until "it's football time in the Bluegrass" echoes throughout the speakers of Kroger Field, the university announced the return of it's annual Fan Day in which fans of all ages get the opportunity to meet players and coaches alike for free. This year's Fan Day will take place on August 5th from 11 a.m. to approximately 12:45 p.m. Fans can park in the Blue Lot (beside the outside practice field) for free.
Like years past, fans are asked to enter the gate to the practice field right outside of Gate 12 of Kroger Field. The gates will open at 10 a.m. and you will be asked to remain behind the rope at all times around the practice field. Concessions will be open for pre-packaged snacks and bottled drinks. If inclement weather happens to ruin our day, practice may be either moved into newly renovated Nutter Fieldhouse or in extreme cases could be canceled.
The university will be handing out free posters of the 2023 schedule and the UK Bookstore will be selling UK merchandise. In addition, ARH and UK Healthcare will be on-site for a "School Supply Drive" commemorating the one-year of the floods that hit Eastern Kentucky last summer. With season tickets in limited quantity, UK ticket sales staff will be available to accommodate anyone interested in purchasing season tickets or will be available to assist anyone with questions regarding season tickets.
With drills beginning today, August 1st, this Saturday will mark the first fall practice. If you have not gotten the opportunity to get out there for a practice and you are a football nerd like me, you will thoroughly enjoy a raw, unplugged version of a practice involving head coach Mark Stoops. With over 39 thousand season tickets sold for 2023, the Kentucky faithful will likely show up in waves this Saturday. If you're planning on going, make plans to arrive early.
