Will Levis Signs NFL Contract With The Tennessee Titans

Updated: Aug 24, 2023

It was signing day today for our guy Will Levis with the franchise who drafted him back in late April, the Tennessee Titans. After going through the Rookie Camp this summer and getting to meet his new teammates and organization, the second-round draft pick finally put pen to paper.

While the details of the contract agreement were not released, the 33rd overall pick is now officially signed to franchise with plans to fight for his role on the depth chart against quarterbacks Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis.

Will Levis played in 24 games as a Wildcat, starting in all twenty four in his two years at Kentucky. While he was the face of the program and all anyone ever wanted to talk about, his new role in the NFL is starting off fresh from the bottom and is now consumed by a fighting chance to battle himself into the two-man rotation at QB. I fully believe this is a great spot for Will as he doesn't have the immediate pressure of being placed as the starter from day one, but has a great opportunity to earn that spot on a bottom-tier franchise that has low expectations. The first few seasons he can build his foundation and solidify his worth to the coaching staff. Remember, he was a backup quarterback at Penn State and took that moment to transition into a starting quarterback on a SEC program in 2021. He's beat the odds before and I'm confident he will do it again.

The Titans' press release says the team will enter training camp on July 26th. I can't wait to see what we hear when they come out on the other side of that.
