Will Levis To Start His First NFL Game

Will Levis was thrown into the Titans' organization this offseason likely unplanned to be in the scenario that he is currently in, living in Nashville and battling against two other quarterbacks to earn some minutes on the field after watching his draft pick selection drop right in front of his eyes. While that's came and went, training camp has passed by and so did the preseason, it's now the regular season and the Tennessee Titans are 2-4 overall. They're also looking for a new starting quarterback this weekend.
This Sunday versus the Atlanta Falcons, it's being reported that Will Levis has gotten the green light to be the starter for the first time in his professional career.
"The Titans are preparing rookie QB Will Levis to start on Sunday," said the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He continued in his scoop by explaining, "With Ryan Tannehill (ankle) likely out, coach Mike Vrabel said both Levis and Malik Willis would play. But Levis is expected to be the primary QB."
That's huge news and it's being reported by one of the most trustworthy NFL news-breakers there is. I know that it's just a temporary opportunity taking place but when the main starter is likely going to be sidelined and the head coach looks at his backups, he picks the two and goes with Will to be the starter and the primary option between the two available. Let's hope Will makes the most of this opportunity and shows the organization that he can handle the spotlight and use this as a stepping stone to someday being the full-time starter.
The game will kickoff at 1:00 pm ET on October 29th right in the heart of Nashville for the entire Volunteer state to sit in their misery and watch. A former Kentucky quarterback leading the state of Tennessee... We love to see it.
