COVID continues to run wild in the world of college athletics. Due to COVID-19 issues within the Kentucky program, the Cats have once again had a game postponed.
“Due to a combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Kentucky women's basketball program, Monday’s Kentucky vs. Mississippi State game has been postponed, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 management requirements,” said UK in the official press release.
The Wildcats have not taken the court since their December 19th win over SC Upstate. In that game, Kentucky was battling some rust in the first half following another postponement against Morgan State.
This postponement is the third of the season for Kentucky with all coming within the last month. Auburn and Morgan State also had to postpone matchups against the Wildcats due to virus protocols.
