50+ Confirmed Dead In Mayfield (KY) From Storm

It breaks my heart to share this with you, but it is now being reported that at least 50 people have died in Western Kentucky, specifically the Mayfield area, throughout late Friday night to the early hours of Saturday morning directly from the tornado that made its way through that part of the state.

The entire Southwestern region got hit extremely hard last night as they fell right in the path of the longest traveling tornado in American history, taking place for over 300+ miles across four different states.

"This is going to be some of the worst tornado damage we've seen in a long time," said Governor Andy Beshear.

Kentucky is at a loss this morning, and the effects from this tornado will shadow for the next few months as families, workers, and Kentuckians all across the Commonwealth try to deal with what they've been dealt in the last 10 hours.

My condolences are with the families directly affected, and I'm hopeful that we can make our ways past this devastating time. I'm sure there will be announcements made soon on how you can help, and when that is announced, we will have it covered.
