DeMarcus Cousins signs with the Houston Rockets

There truly is nothing like the NBA Free Agency offseason craziness.

News broke Monday evening that former Wildcat DeMarcus Cousins has signed to a one-year deal with the Houston Rockets. He's coming off a torn ACL, which has sidelined him from basketball for the last 18 months. The Lakers signed Cousins last July, just month before his injury. They kept him on the roster until February, when they finally waived him. So the last time he's played in a professional basketball game, was in the 2019 NBA Finals with the Golden State Warriors.

DeMarcus Cousins now joins a stacked Rockets team, which includes Russell Westbrook and James Harden. And on a side note, there have been trade talks heating up that include a John Wall for Russell Westbrook trade, which would pair the two former cats back together.
