Final Stats In Exhibition Against Georgetown College

Kentucky opened up their 2023-24 season with an exhibition against Georgetown College on Friday night where the streets of Lexington were filled with blue once again. Fans piled into Rupp Arena, a lot of cheers were had, and Kentucky came out on top as expected.

With any first opponent of the season, even for matchups that don't count against your record, your team usually comes out slow. This one was no different than the rest as Kentucky lead by just 1 at halftime. After the usual meltdown by the loudest of Big Blue Nation online, the Cats came out hot in the second half with a 19-6 run before the first timeout. After having their lead cut to just eight points, they put the foot on the gas and left the Tigers in the rearview as they took home an unofficial win of 92-69.

Tre Mitchell led the way with 22 points followed up by Antonio Reeves with 18. Here are the final stats for your viewing. I wouldn't put too much thought into them, it's still early.

Kentucky will continue their season against Kentucky State (exhibition) on November 2, right here in Rupp Arena again.
