Jamarius Dinkins Enters Transfer Portal

Updated: Nov 29, 2023

Jamarius Dinkins, also known as Spider, had publicly announced that he plans on entering his name into the transfer portal come next Monday. Dinkins is the third Wildcat to announce his decision to find another location to continue his collegiate football career, with the other two being Jalen Gieger and Dekel Crowdus.

He is a 6'5" 290-pound defensive lineman who was a 3-star prospect coming out of high school in the 2021 class. Jamarius took a medical redshirt in his freshman season, thus at the end of this season he'll still have two years of eligibility left for whichever team is lucky enough to land him.

Dinkins' best season was probably in 2022 where he played in nine games and recorded nine tackles, a sack, and a tackle for a loss. He did still have a productive season this year even with him losing some playing time due to the incoming transfer of Keeshawn Silver. Jamarius Dinkins still managed to find the field in eleven of the twelve total games this season where he record eight tackles.

I believe without a doubt that Dinkins will find a good spot to finish his collegiate football career and it will not only because of his athletic abilities but a lot to do with his attitude and his willingness to work and develop. I wish Jamarius Dinkins the best of luck on his future endeavors wherever the transfer portal takes him.
