John Wall has been traded to Houston

Updated: Dec 6, 2020

Well it looks like BBN just got an early Christmas present as the trade of all trades just happened. John Wall has been traded to the Houston Rockets, joining former college teammate and roommate, DeMarcus Cousins.

The Houston Rockets have agreed in a deal that will bring Wall to Houston, in exchange for a first-round draft pick and Russell Westbrook being sent to Washington. A blockbuster dealing of two of the leagues best point guards.

John Wall has spent a decade in Washington, as that was the franchise that drafted him out of Kentucky in the 2010 NBA Draft. DeMarcus Cousins signed with the Rockets just nine days ago. Finally we'll get to see the reunion of the two former Cats who helped transform the program at Kentucky and make it 'cool again' this season for Houston.

Boogie decided to tweet this once he got word of the news:

As many NBA teams have dipped their toes into getting UK guys, Houston is one of the few who haven't done so as much as the others. Well now, they might have just made the most noise with two of UK's biggest stars, essentially begging the entire Big Blue Nation to become Rocket fans. I know I'll be buying the first Houston Rockets gear I come across.

There truly is nothing like the NBA offseason when you're a Kentucky fan.
