Kenny Brooks, Kentucky's women's basketball head coach, continues to impress in his short time in the bluegrass state. He has already been able to convince three of his previous players at Virginia Tech to follow him to Kentucky. It was just announced that Brooks is adding a fourth player to the 2024-25 roster.

Lexi Blue, a 6'2" shooting guard from Orlando, Florida who was originally committed to Virginia Tech has announced her decision to switch her commitment to Kentucky.

The now Wildcat is tabbed as the thirty-first overall recruit for the 2024 recruiting class according to ESPN. Blue had numerous offers from several Division I schools before making her decision to commit to Virginia Tech, with those others including Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio State, Louisville, Arizona, Michigan, and Texas A&M as the headliners. This was a massive commitment for the new Head Coach and while he was able to secure her in Blacksburg it should speak volumes about him as a coach and as a person that he was able to secure her in Lexington too.

This is a huge addition for Kenny Brooks and the rest of the staff as Lexi Blue has a very consistent shot from beyond the three-point line but isn't afraid to take it to the basket either.

Here is a sample clip of some highlights from her skillset at Bishop Moore High School to check out what she'll be bringing to the team.
