Quintin Simmons Jr. Commits To Kentucky

Vince Marrow warned us earlier via his social media to get the dice ready to roll and he wasn't kidding. This past weekend was one of Kentucky's biggest recruiting weekends of the year as they hosted their Junior Day Weekend. There was some speculation and some concerns on how just losing former Offensive Coordinator, Liam Coen would affect the recruiting going into this weekend. However, Mark Stoops and company just got a big commitment from an out-of-state athlete from Ohio.

Class of 2025 recruit, Quintin Simmons Jr. announced via his Twitter just about an hour ago that he is committing to the University of Kentucky. The 4-star dual-threat athlete from Cincinnati, Ohio has played both running back and wide receiver for Winthrow High School. Simmons is listed at six foot and 175 pounds via 247Sports.com. Simmions is barely outside the top 150 as he ranks 156th overall in the 2025 class and he is also the fifteenth-best wide receiver and the sixth-best overall in the entire state of Ohio.

Not only does Simmons play dual positions in football, but he is also a track star as well. Simmons ran a sophomore 100-meter best of 10.76, according to MileSplit. Simmons also ran wind-aided 100-meter reps of 11.15 and 11.17 in Spring 2023. So the kid is quick on his feet so it will be nice to see how he continues to develop his talents on the gridiron. Kentucky had to fend off some top-tiered schools to land Simmons as he had offers from schools such as Boston College, Cincinnati, EKU, Indiana, Louisville, Marshall, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Purdue, and West Virginia among many others.

This is another big get for the Kentucky football staff and I look for more to come after what is appearing to be a successful Junior Day weekend. If you want a preview of what Kentucky is getting in Quintin Simmons here are some of his highlights from his Sophomore season.
