It is NBA trade deadline season, which means BB-NBA fans are on the lookout for former Cats to either leave or join their favorite professional teams. Trey Lyles, former lottery pick and member of the "White Platoon" of our 2014-15 team, is on his way to Sacramento in what is a four team trade per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Trey Lyles will be joining another former Cat, the Kings' star point guard De'Aaron Fox - at least for now. With Fox playing at an all star level and Sacramento not being able to surround him with a playoff caliber roster, there are many rumors that Fox might be involved in the next trade the Kings make.
Hopefully Lyles will find a fresh start and good fit in Sacramento, as the former 12th overall pick is now on his 5th team in 6 years. He has spent most of his career in a bench role, but has been steadily improving, averaging a career high in points per game this season prior to the trade.
