Hardley Gilmore Commits To Kentucky

Updated: Aug 27, 2023

The dice are still rolling hot for Kentucky Wildcats Head Football Coach, Mark Stoops and company. It was just announced that Hardley Gilmore, a 4-star athlete out of Pahokee, Florida, has chosen to continue his athletic career with the University of Kentucky. Gilmore is currently a wide receiver for Pahokee High School and is a part of the 2024 Class. Kentucky is definitely stacking up a good recruiting class early on for 2024, with Gilmore's commitment that makes him the sixteenth verbal commit thus far for next year's class.

That class already has some big-name talent such as Cutter Boley, Elijah Groves, Terhyon Nichols, Hayes Johnson, and Willie Rodriguez, among many others. Gilmore is listed at 6'1" and 175 pounds. He is also ranked in the top 300 prospects in the entire nation for the 2024 Class, as well as, the 44th best overall wide receiver in the entire nation and the 43rd best player in the state of Florida for 2024.

Gilmore is listed as an athlete because he is far more than just a skilled football player, Gilmore has also run track and participated in field events. He also was quick enough to run in the 800-meter regional qualifier when he was in middle school. As a freshman, Gilmore caught 16 passes for a total of 230 yards and 7 touchdowns at the Benjamin School in West Palm Beach, Florida, which competed in Florida’s 3A classification.

Kentucky had to fight out several highly-touted schools to land the talented prospect, Gilmore had many offers from schools such as Penn State, UCF, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, Michigan, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and several others.

For your viewing pleasure, I have attached one of Hardley Gilmore's highlight videos from his Hudl account. These are from his sophomore season with IMG Academy which Gilmore transferred to in the winter of 2022. IMG Academy is a preparatory boarding school and sports training destination.
