Jakob Dixon Is Officially A Wildcat

It seems as though it was only a week ago that the Big Blue Nation thought that the sky was falling after Kentucky lost out on 4-Star, in-state wide receiver Cristian Conyer. Oh wait…it was. Well, since that time Kentucky has managed to secure 3 big-time recruits, Khalifa Keith (a 3-Star RB from Birmingham, AL), Avery Stuart (a 4-Star Safety from Montgomery, AL), Koby Keenum ( 4-Star and the #3 Center in the nation from Florence, AL), and now they're adding a fourth as Jakob Dixon ( a 6'5", 200 pound WR from PRP High School in Louisville, Ky) announced today that he will be committing to the 2023 Class at the University of Kentucky.

Here are some of Jakob Dixon's highlights from his Senior season with Pleasure Ridge Park HS in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dixon becomes the 5th in-state commit for the University of Kentucky for the Class of 2023, he joins Tommy Ziesmer (Danville, Ky), Kaden Moorman (Frankfort, Ky), Malachi Wood (Richmond, Ky), and Ty Bryant (Lexington, Ky).

Many Kentucky fans were left with a bad taste in their mouths when Cristian Conyer chose Tennessee over Kentucky and even blamed Kentucky's Athletic Director, Mitch Barnhart. Conyer suggested that Kentucky isn't doing enough with NIL to secure top-tier talent. Some fans went as far as to send Mitch angry emails complaining about the whole situation. No, the class of 2023 isn't what many of us would like it to be, but let me remind you that there is a lot of recruiting left to be done and, if there is anything I have learned, it is that I won't count Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow out, NIL or not.
