National Signing Day '22

Kentucky is on track to signing its highest rated recruiting class in program history Wednesday afternoon. We'll keep track of all the signees as they're announced.

Tyrese Fearby - 3 Star EDGE

Tyreese Fearbry - A 6'5" two hundred and twenty-five pound edge rusher from Pittsburgh, PA, is a four-star recruit and is ranked the 142nd best player in the nation along with the 3rd best in the entire state of Pennsylvania. In Fearby's Junior season he racked up on average 5.8 tackles and 1.0 sack per game. He had offers from other big name schools such as Auburn and Penn State.


 

Grant Bingham - 4 Star OT

Grant Bingham - A 6'6" three hundred pound offensive tackle from Paintsville, Kentucky, is a four-star prospect and ranked the 22nd best OT in the nation and the 3rd best overall recruit in the state of Kentucky. Bingham's success in the weight room shows on the field with his ability to make blocks and create space for the run - high potential prospect.



 

Brandon White - 3 Star WR

Brandon White - A 5'9" one hundred and sixty-five pound wide out from Cincinnati, Ohio is a three-star prospect and the 164th ranked wide receiver in the nation and the 35th overall in the state of Ohio. In White's last three seasons at Archbishop Moeller HS he racked up 36 receptions for 679 yards and 6 touchdowns.


 

Andre Stewart - 3 Star CB

Andre Stewart - A 6 foot one hundred and seventy pound corner back from Kennesaw, Georgia, is a three-star recruit and ranked the 56th ranked corner back in the nation and the 61st overall player in the state of Georgia. Stewart had offers from several other highly touted schools such as Auburn, Michigan, Florida, Arkansas among others.



 

Tomiwa Durojaiye - 3 Star DL

Tomiwa Durojaiye - A 6'4" two hundred and fifty-five pound defensive lineman from Deleware. Durojaiye is a three-star prospect and ranked the 124th best DL in the country, as well as, the 2nd best DE in the state of Delaware. In 2020 Durojaiye played an eight games in his junior season and averaged better than five tackles and a sack per game. He was also named the Class 3A Defensive Player of the Year as well as first team All-District in 2021.


 

Quentel Jones - 3 Star DL

Quentel Jones - A 6'2" three hundred and fifteen pound defensive lineman from Fort Valley, Georgia, is a three-star recruit that is ranked the 58th best defensive lineman in the country and the 36th best player in the state of Georgia. Jones had several offers from top schools such as Miami, Tennessee and Mississippi State who many thought were to be the favorite to land the impressive lineman.


 

Alex Afari - 4 Star CB

Alex Afari - A 6'2" one hundred and ninety-five pound athlete from West Chester, Ohio. Afari has great size for a corner back, the position he has played most of his career, but could easily be molded into a strong safety. Afari is a four-star recruit and is ranked 222th nationally and 10th overall in the state of Ohio. Vince Marrow went after Afari hard and stole him away from the University of Cincinnati.


 

Josh Kattus - 3 Star TE

Josh Kattus - A 6'4" two hundred and thirty-five pound tight end from Cincinnati, Ohio, is a three-star recruit and the 86th ranked tight end in the country and the 40th best player in the state of Ohio. In his last three seasons of HS football racked up 66 receptions for 853 yards and 5 touchdowns.


Josh's father, Eric Kattus, was a TE at Michigan (1982-1986): All Big Ten performer and team captain, as well as, a 4th Round pick by Cincinnati Bengals in 1986 NFL Draft. He played six years in pros with Bengals and New York Jets.


 

Jordan Anthony - 3 Star ATH

Jordan Anthony - A 5'9" one hundred and sixty pound athlete from Tylertown, Mississippi, is the 426th ranked player in the nation, the 25th ranked athlete and the 12th best player in the state of Mississippi. Anthony has some speed to him: he can run the 100 meter in 10.21 seconds and the 200 meter in 20.86 seconds.


 

Elijah Reed - 3 Star CB

Elijah Reed - A 6'3" one hundred eighty pound corner back from Louisville, Kentucky, is a three-star recruit and is the 82nd ranked corner back in the nation and the 8th best player in the state of Kentucky. Reed is a good athlete and he has that length that Coach Stoops likes to have in the secondary position. On top of those two physical traits, if you watch his tape you will see the football IQ he has as well.


 

Nikolas Hall - 3 Star OT

Nikolas Hall - A 6'5" three hundred and ten pound offensive tackle from Austin, Texas, is a three-star recruit and is ranked 555th nationally along with being the 32nd best ranked OT in the nation and the 52nd best player in the big state of Texas. In Hall's Junior year at Akins HIgh School he played the position of Left Tackle.


 

Keaten Wade - 4 Star LB

Keaten Wade - A 6'4" two hundred and twenty pound linebacker from Spring Hill, Tennessee, is a four-star recruit and is ranked 241st nationally, the 23rd best linebacker in the nation, and the 8th best player to come from the state of Tennessee. He was selected for the All-American Bowl and he is a huge get for Vince Marrow and the team because it is always nice to steal a recruit from Tennessee.


 

Destin Wade - 3 Star ATH

Destin Wade - A 6'3" and two hundred pound athlete from Spring Hill, Tennessee, is the twin brother of Keaten Wade. Wade is a three-star recruit and is nationally ranked 370th, as well as, the 49th ranked athlete in the nation and the 19th overall in the state of Tennessee. In 2020 Wade played QB as a junior and led Spring Hill Summit to the Tennessee Division I Class 5A state championship. It will be interesting to see where he fits in on UK's roster but with the talent he has he will find playing time.


 

Deone Walker - 4 Star DL

Deone Walker - A 6'6" three hundred and fifty pound Defensive Lineman from Detroit, Michigan, is a four-star recruit and is ranked 202nd nationally. Walker is the 26th best defensive lineman in the nation and the 3rd best overall recruit in the state of Michigan. Deone is massive get for Kentucky who could play both defensive lineman or offensive tackle for the Cats. For Walker's size, he shows agility not many that big have. Kentucky edged out both Georgia and Michigan for this pick up.


 

Ja'Kobi Albert - 3 Star ATH

Ja'Kobi Albert - a 5'11" one hundred and seventy-five pound athlete from Fairfield, Alabama, is a three-star prospect and is ranked 383rd nationally, as well as, the 33rd ranked athlete in the nation and the 23rd best player in the state of Alabama. In 2020 Albert played both the wide receiver and defensive backs position as a junior in high school. Ja'Kobi was originally committed to in state school Auburn but after a visit to Kentucky he flips to the Wildcats.


 

Jackson Smith - 2 Star Kicker

Jackson Smith - A 5'11" one hundred and seventy pound kicker from Danville, Kentucky, and Boyle County High School is a two-star recruit. Jackson is the 9th best at the Kicker position in the country and the 23rd best player overall in the state of Kentucky. Jackson had another offer from an in state school, Eastern Kentucky University, to play for the Colonels.


 

Barion Brown - 4 Star WR

Barion Brown - A 6'1" one hundred and seventy pound wide out from Nashville, Tennessee, is a four-star recruit and is the 112th ranked player in the nation. Brown is also ranked as the 18th best wide receiver in the country as well as the 3rd best player in the entire state of Tennessee. Brown ran track in high school as well, he ran a 10.49 100 meter and a 21.37 200 meter as a Junior. In Brown dabbled with a few different positions with snaps at running back, receiver, defensive back, and kick/punt returner. Brown gained 1,128 yards from scrimmage on 12.97 yards per touch, scoring 12 touchdowns (7 rushing, 4 receiving, 1 kickoff return).


 

Dane Key - 4 Star WR

Dane Key - A 6'2' one hundred and ninety pound wide receiver from Lexington, Kentucky, is a 4 Star recruit from Frederick Douglass HS. Key is ranked as the 239th best player in the entire country and is the 38th best player at the wide out spot and the number one overall player in the state of Kentucky. His father,


Donte Key, played at the linebacker position for the University of Kentucky from 1992-1995. In his 4 years at Frederick Douglass HS Key racked up 122 receptions for 2020 yards and 28 touchdowns.


 

Kiyaunta Goodwin - 5 Star OT

Kiyaunta Goodwin - A 6'8" three hundred and forty pound Offensive Tackle from Charlestown, Indiana, is a five-star prospect, the 13th nationally ranked player, the 2nd best OT in the nation and the overall best player in the state of Indiana. Goodwin made the roster for both the All-American and Polynesian Bowls. Kiyaunta is a physical specimen that has a very high ceiling, you will see this young man playing on Sundays one day. Vince Marrow and Kentucky had been recruiting Goodwin since he was in middle school (7th) grade and had to fend off a late charge from Michigan State to secure the highest ranked recruit in the Stoops era.
