The rewards and conference-wide recognition's are starting to come in after the Cats got busy this weekend down in Gainesville. They entered The Swamp and left with a win, defeating the Gators by ten points, 26-16.
While it was a defense-led game for Kentucky, both sides had some excellent players that are getting their awards for it this week.

SEC Freshman Player of the Week - Dane Key
It's becoming a weekly thing now for Kentucky football to have players earn the weekly conference awards and to me this just sends a strong message to the rest of the league that this program is continuing their rise up the ladder and should be taken seriously week in and week out.
